So I'm finally planning to watch Gintama, but the problem is that there is too much I should watch and I don't know the order that is appropriate for it. Does anybody know the best way to experience the series in the right and satisfying way?

Gintama (3-201) the first three eps are fillers made for the manga readers so you can watch it if you want to. I recommend watching.

Gintama Movie 1: Benizakura-hen (remake of an arc from the first season. specifically: episodes 58-61. so, you can watch it instead since I’ve heard it’s better but your choice ofc)

Gintama' (202-252)

Gintama Jump festa OVA 2014

Gintama' Enchousen (253-265)

Gintama Movie 2- Be Forever Yorozuya

Gintama° (266-291)

Gintama. Porori hen (329-341) - skip the opening and the first 2 minutes of episode 329 as they contain spoilers.

Gintama° (292-295)

Gintama Love potion OVAs

Gintama° (296-316)

Gintama. (317-328)

Gintama Silver Soul part 1( 342-353)

Gintama Silver Soul part 2(354-367)

Gintama Semifinal OVAs

Gintama Movie 3: The Final

hope this helps.

You could watch chronological order, or release date order.
Chronological: Gintama (2006): eps 1-61, then movie #1 (just a 1080p version of eps 58-61), then eps 62-201.
Gintama’ (2011), then Gintama’: Enchousen (2012), then 2nd Movie, then Gintama° (2015) (along with the love potion ova after ep 296), then Gintama. (2017), then Gintama.: Slip Arc (2017), then Gintama.: Silver Soul Arc (2018), then Gintama: The Semi Final- then Gintama: The Final.

Release Date:
Gintama (2006) (eps 1-201), then Gintama Movie #1 (2010), then Gintama’ (2011) (eps 202-252), then Gintama’: Enchousen (2012) (eps 253-265), then Gintama Movie #2, then Gintama° (2015) (eps 266-316), then Gintama. (2017) (eps 317-328), then Gintama.: Slip Arc (2017) (eps 329-341), then Gintama.: Silver Soul Arc (2018) (eps 342-367), then Gintama The Semi-Final (Special Eps 1+2), then Gintama: The Final

Whichever you want to do! Enjoy your ride with Gintama!

perfect watch order, but instead of the semi final OVAs i would suggest to read chapter 686-698. The anime skipped a lot of stuff which is important for the final movie.

Wait is it really good to watch the slip arc in between Gintama°? Im on 232 so im getting pretty close and would like to know before hand. Also is it still fine to watch release order?

Watching the slip arc in between Gintama° is the same order as it is in the Manga. So thats the way Sorachi intended the story to be watched. But you have to skip the opening because it contains spoilers. You can still watch the release order tho. Would personally not recommend it, but it's hard to explain why without spoiling a little bit so it's up to you.

Got it. If that’s the way it is in the manga then I’ll do it that way. Thanks for letting me know! When can I watch the opening? Once I get to where slip arc wouldve been initially?

You can watch the opening after you finish the 13 episodes of the slip arc. Also forgot to mention that you should skip the previews in the slip arc. Enjoy the rest of the show!
