Monica Lewinsky’s Clothing is Up for Auction (Seriously!)
Monica Lewinsky’s wardrobe and personal effects from her time spent as a White House intern are on the auction block. The raciest item is a black negligee, but there are also a few button-down shirts, blazers, an Ann Taylor jacket, navy blue DKNY pants, letters written on official White House stationery and old boxes of M&M’s with the presidential seal. One item not on sale: that infamous blue dress. All of the items were originally obtained as part of the federal investigation into Monica’s affair with President Bill Clinton.
If you thought this story was weird, get a load of this: Apparently some of the items, at some point, were given by Monica to her former lover Andy Bleiler as gifts, but now they are all owned by his ex-wife, Kate, according to ABC.
There are so many unanswered questions here that my head is spinning. Why would Monica give some of these items to her old boyfriend? Why would his ex-wife have possession of them now?
The entire lot is allegedly worth $25,000 and $50,000, and bidding ends on Thursday. ABC reported that Monica lives in the U.K. now and wasn’t available to comment.
