Wedding Style Flashback: The Bride Wore A White Suit
My grandmother once mentioned how it was funny to her that women nowadays get married in big, white “princess” dresses. Back in her day, it was all about a chic suit…
Celeb example extraordinaire of the wedding suit: On the day she became Mrs. Jagger (to rocker, now-ex husband, Mick) Bianca paraded a long white skirt with a tuxedo jacket and no shirt because she was—gasp!—too pregnant to fit into the one she’d planned on. Her suit number and her hat were both designed by Yves Saint Laurent. There’s no arguing that Bianca looked amazing on her wedding day and of course became an insta fashion icon thanks in part to this white suit look, but do you think most women could pull it off? I’m not sure.

Wedding pants: What do you think, my dears?
I think I like everything except the belly-baring. That part to me screams bridal no-no but maybe I’m being too prude. If I were to recommend a dress alternative I might have to stick with a skirt suit and a shorter one at that. This one from the recent Chanel Haute Couture runway was just really beautiful and classy:
